Types of 317L Round Bar

The stainless steel grade 317L is regarded as an upgrade or modified form of marine grade stainless steel. Alloy 316, which has a molybdenum concentration below 3%, is steel intended for marine use. The main improvement in the molybdenum content and the overall molybdenum content of the alloy of 317L stainless steel round bars. Its chemistry has been changed to produce an alloy with improved toughness and strength.

Properties of alloy 317Lmn stainless steel rods, notably tensile strength and pitting resistance, primarily experience a significant improvement. The PREN of alloy 316 is valued at 24.2, but the same property for welding rod made of 317L stainless steel is valued at 29.7. The ASTM A479 UNS S31703 hex bar’s ability to resist decay in the presence of highly corrosive media including acidic chlorine, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid shows a considerable improvement in its corrosion resistance qualities. The astm a276 type 317L flat bar produces good quality weld, much like all low carbon version austenitic alloys.

This is due to the fact that the extra carbon has been lowered in order to stop carbide precipitates from forming, which would inevitably cause inter – granular corrosion. Because 317L black bar can be used in an as-welded form, manufacturers prefer to utilize it. The DIN 1.4438 square bar has a chemical composition that renders it somewhat resistant to chlorine-related stress cracking, in contrast to grade 304. The AISI 317L threaded bar offers superior corrosion resistance qualities to both grade 316 & 304 in conditions containing sulphur compounds. The SS 317L bright bar performs effectively when exposed to halogen-containing liquids as well.

Being a well-known company, Tronix Alloys is engaged in offering a variety of Stainless Steel 317L Bar. We provide these goods to both our domestic and international customers at incredibly discounted prices. Austenitic stainless steel 317L bar is a chromium-nickel alloy that also contains molybdenum.

This 317L stainless steel properties exhibits increased corrosion resistance in a variety of applications. These bars are made with materials of both national and international quality, and they are customised to meet the needs of our clients. This bar is produced in a variety of sizes, thicknesses, diameters, shapes, and types so that it can be used effectively in a variety of applications.

Our stainless steel 317L bar is available in cut lengths of 1-6 metres. The ingot, rectangle, round, billet, square, and forging are examples of common forms. Our product comes in a variety of finishes, including brilliant polished, matte finish, BA finish, and rough turned.

SS 317/ 317L tubing – Improved corrosion resistance, high formability, and weldability are all characteristics of round bars and rods. These steels enable the subsequent operations, including shearing, drawing, stamping, and heading. Additionally, it offers pickling, rolling, bending, machining, heat treatment, annealing, and cutting services.

As per ASTM A276/ASME SA-276, the specification for wrought stainless steel 317L round bar is divided into several forms and shapes, including rod, channel bar, T-bar, flat bar, blocks, square bar, triangle, threaded, hex (A/F), profiles, half ingot, billet, I/H bar, etc.

Our stainless steel 317/317L round bars are employed in a variety of settings and sectors. Here are a few examples:

  • Petrochemical Industry

  • Oil and Gas Industry

  • Chemical Industry

  • Power Plant Industry

  • Energy Industry

  • Pharmaceuticals Industry

  • Pulp & Paper Indusry

  • Food Processing Industry

  • Aerospace Industry
